I would hope that Foxit could make it possible to choose which package we install.Ĭherry has predicted that Version 6 will be released in November. Just in case the problem lives on in the new version, I would really like to be able to install the 32 bit version on my 64 bit computer to see if the problem occurs with that version. I have been waiting for some time for a solution to the issue we are experiencing, and was hoping for a Resolution rather than just an Improvement in the release of Version 6. I tried to install the 32 bit version of Phantom, but the installer package prevented the installation. After loading 32 bit versions of the same programs, scanning works perfectly. When I run 64 bit versions of Phantom's competitors, I also experience scanning problems. I have posted this problem elsewhere in the forum and cherry has responded with some suggestions but alas without success.Īre you running Win7 64 bit? Was the Phantom version 64 bit? My internet searching came up with the discovery that Canon has never released a 64 bit scanner driver. One difference is that unfortunately I paid for the software before finding out about this "showstopper" of a bug. The bug you describe and the youtube demo is the very same problem I have experienced. I'd rather not have to go to an Adobe upgrade if I don't have to. Anyway, if you have any easy suggestions that could get me on the road to ownership, please let me now. Unfortunately, because this is one of the two main tasks I use, this bug is kind of a showstopper for me. Obviously I've searched around a little because I found this video, but if anyone has suggestions, I'd love 'em. Otherwise, same multifunction printer and exactly the same error. The only difference is that I'm running 5. So I downloaded the trial version to make sure that it works, and well, honestly, let me place this youtube video here because this guy has EXACTLY the same problem I have and does a much better job of describing it in the video than I can in a short forum post. on a regular basis and I'm getting very tired of Adobe Acrobat. I've been using the Foxit reader for a while at home, and I was looking into purchasing PhantomPDF Business because I need software to scan paperwork as well as PDF software to do stuff like change page layouts / change margins / etc.
